Chef Cannon Gaudet is beyond excited to finally bring his dream to Sonoma County!
Born and raised in Hattiesburg, MS, Cannon was surrounded by family in the food industry, paving the way for his culinary path. His love for cooking, specifically cooking for others, started early. He moved to Jackson, MS at 18 to help open a sandwich shop and hasn’t looked back since. He continued on to Memphis, TN, training under Louis Pambianchi at Bosco’s Restaurant, as well as his uncle, Chris Gaudet. It was also here that he started a relationship with Memphis native, Lee Ann Vieron, who became his wife 15 years later!
After living in the south for 25 years, California was calling his name. He moved to Sonoma County in 2007 with family and established a life here. He was head chef at GTO’s in Sebastopol and more recently head chef at The Parish Café- First the Healdsburg location, then the Santa Rosa location, sealing the deal on his love for this type of food. It is home to him. Cannon became a dad in 2020, and when Covid hit, he became a stay at home dad to daughters Magnolia (3) and Malia (1). While he loved this role, something was missing…
Fast forward to now and The Cajun Connect is born! He always goes back to his roots. Cannon promises to deliver authentic Cajun food where you can taste the love and passion behind it. He can’t wait to share a little bit of home with everyone!
